Patient:

67 year old male.

Case Background:

The patient had a history of periodontal disease.

Procedure:

The first procedure saw the patient only replace his front 4 lower loose teeth. Dental implants supporting a fixed bridge of 4 teeth were placed. 12 months later the patient requested the same done for his front and left hand side upper teeth as they had become annoyingly loose. 4 dental implants were placed and a temporary fixed appliance was attached with 7 teeth. It was decided to make the bridge temporary as there were intentions to replace the right hand side back teeth. A further 12 months later the difference between the rigid implant supported teeth and the patients loose upper right hand side back teeth was causing discomfort so a further 2 implants were placed and a permanent fixed bridge secured to replace all of the patient top teeth.
