Patient:

65 year old male.

Case Background:

Patient had a fixed bridge in place for his upper front teeth for a few decades but eventually the supporting teeth fractured resulting in the bridge falling out.

Procedure:

The broken teeth were extracted and three implants were placed to support a 5 tooth fixed bridge. In this case the framework and crowns where metal free and separate to each other ie. in the future if a tooth fractures eg due to trauma, a new crown can be fabricated and cemented onto the framework without the need to remove the rest of the teeth. A temporary crown can be fixed whilst waiting for the new permanent crown to to be fabricated.
